I love reading...like I said before I read anything from tabloid to thesaurus and everything in between you can imagine.

After reading so many stories, yes, especially reading stories, I thought Ending doesn't matter anymore.

In Book. Novel. Manga. or Comics.

When I was young, my rule in reading is to know the final verdict or the so called ending. I'm so excited and always looking forward on ending, that's is why I read every novel in one sitting. Of course it always made my day if its turn out 'happily ever after ending' (that's  usually what I hope for). Then I matured a little, I became focus on the events, scenes or in the story itself rather than the ending. It doesn't matter if it has a tragic or happy ending. What matter's most is how it was beautifully written by the author. How the author made me react in every scenario and played with my emotions. I laughed, cried, scared, nervous, screamed, happy, or sad,   and that the real fun of reading.

However today, I am a bit different, I stopped reading a book when I reached the climax (what climax???!!) of the story, well I guess after the climax, or the problem was settled. I'm good. I can drop it already. And I always did.

My attitude of 'ending doesn't matter anymore' got a notch higher this time. I realized that I pick every novel because of the premise, plot or conflict that made me intrigue  and how the character will solve the problems and face their challenges. Then after all things had been said and done and after the characters react and solve their problems, for me nothing else matter. Yes, nothing else matter, everything will be all right. I don't have to read the next chapter.

Well maybe I just don't like endings or goodbyes so I'll leave it like that. I stop reading after all the issues were solved and everyone(characters) were fine. Next volume and chapters after the resolution would only be supplementary, a sequel, and a never ending story to satisfy the readers. But for me -

I'm satisfied in a well written plot. No matter how cliche the plot is, if it's well written then it is a million worth reading.

When I'm not spazzing over Kdramas, or spacing out over anime, you can surely find me in my library reading mangas/manwhas (my virtual library, where all good e-books also have virtual dusts because left unread and untouched -tsk) . And now! I'm currently hooked over this shoujo manga titled - DENGEKI DAISY!!

Dengeki Daisy

Though I missed it, I was so thrilled when I first heard of this new film of Mr Miyazaki's!
The Wind Rises is an adaptation of Miyazaki's most recent color comic as well as a novel by Tatsuo Hori, about the man who designed the Zero Fighter airplane which was used in World War II.

"When I write music, I read the script again and again until I find the most touching point." - Joe Hisaishi

Born in Nakano, Japan, he started violin lessons aged 5. He attended Kunitachi College of Music in 1969 and studied music composition. After graduating, he worked with many contemporary musicians and explored his own musical styles.

Hisaishi is best known for his collaborations with Hayao Miyazaki's animation. In 1983, when Hisaishi met the director Miyazaki, they collaborated on the animation, Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, which was a huge hit. They became friends since then and he composed most of the scores for his Miyazaki's films, such as Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away. He composed more than 100 film musical scores!

For Hisaishi, composing music for films depends on two things: One is to understand the script, the other is to understand the director's sense of rhythm.

"Different directors will have different tempos for a certain scene," he explains.

Just like every Miyazaki's fan, I have come to know Hisaishi in Studio Ghibli's animation. His music gives life to every film and he is also behind every animation's success.

"Animated films require much more detailed musical elements because the characters' facial expressions are less vivid. I need to add colorful music to reflect their characters," he says.

Though I like his works even outside anime I am still leaning towards to my all time favorite and considered it the best - Spirited Away soundtracks.

Be mesmerized in his works year after year after year only here at : Joe Hisaishi Works.

“(This movie is) for the people who used to be ten years old and the people who are going to be ten years old.” – Hayao Miyazaki

Spirited Away is a story of a young girl, who was lost in the world of spirits and her adventure in this magical world change her from a sullen and immature child into a fine young girl.

This is my all time favorite of Miyazaki's film and I am not going to review this movie because I know that it has been reviewed zillion times of those people better than I am, from bloggers/film lovers to professional movie critique and this film has nothing but tons of praises for its perfection.  When I first saw this film I was amazed by its unique story and magical spirits. But seeing it almost everyday, because of my 2 year old niece, who loves to watch this movie over and over and over and over again, it never ceased to make me awe.

Background
Each time I watch it there is a gem, I pay attention not only on the story but its elements, from rich detailed background to musical scores. Each corner of every frame is all drawn by meticulous loving hand. This is truly a masterpiece beyond compare.
Detailed art background
Music
Musical scores of Spirited Away was composed and conducted by Miyazaki's regular collaborator and award winning musical director, composer, and  conductor, Joe Hisaishi, and performed by the New Japan Philharmonic.

Each music is calming and soothing to the soul. Maybe I am crazy but every time I'm in a long travel, I always played the "Sixth Station", the background song in the train to Geneva's house. I never get bored in my journey but instead I love every passing moment and it feels like I'm in the train too... in spirits world! How magnificent music can be. Music can be therapeutic, emotional, inspiring, and healing. It can even change your mood and setting in no time! I even played the whole album!

Let’s take a minute to appreciate Kazuo Oga, the painter who helped create the forest in Hayao Miyazaki’s animated film My Neighbor Totoro.

These are the stunning and beautiful art backgrounds by Kazuo Oga on each animation film of Hayao Miyazaki. You could lost in every art piece. Kazuo Oga (男鹿 和雄 Oga Kazuo, born 29 February 1952 in Akita Prefecture, Japan) is an art director and background artist for many Madhouse Studio and Studio Ghibli anime films, Oga worked with major directors Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, Osamu Dezaki. He also published two artbooks and directed a short animated film. (Wikipedia)

Together with musical scores playing on the background. I considered every piece to be heart-warming, thought-provoking, and worth reflecting upon. These background musics, are my companion in my search for tranquility and peace of mind. The music gives me rest and serves as a reminder of a lot of things. This is a wonderful playlist, heartwarming, heals your soul, and as if you're in a beautiful world.  It's my background song whatever I do and whenever I am.

Lately I've been hooked on anime movies and series as my source of entertainment. Though there's certain things that do bug me, such as obvious plot twists, dry jokes and over-exaggerated characters, there are still things that I thoroughly appreciate - which may be why I have watched nothing but children anime for (roughly) 6 weeks.

These are the animes that I've finished in a span of 6 weeks.

Cardcaptor Sakura begins when ten-year-old fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto accidentally releases a set of magical cards called Clow Cards from the Clow Book, created and named after half-English, half-Chinese sorcerer Clow Reed. The guardian Beast of the Seal Cerberus emerges from the book and tells her it is now her responsibility to retrieve the missing cards. As she finds each card, she battles its magical personification and defeats it to seal it away.

Aren't we all love Sakura and watch her capturing each Clow card and falling in love with Li Shauran? If you want heart-warming, uplifting mahou shoujo goodness, then Card Captor Sakura, being at the pinnacle of its genre, should not be missed. It provides some excellent set-pieces and mature themes, takes you on a serious adventure, and leaves you feeling like a thoroughly entertained child - I mean - adult.

Next in my anime watch list and I'll try to watch and reminiscence if I have time and write a review of these animes .
  • Akazukin Chacha,
  • Magic Knight Rayearth,
  • Yaiba
  • Vampire Knight
  • Hell Teacher Nube
  • Clannad
  • FullMetal Panic
  • Hana yori Dango
  • Midori Days
  • Evangelion
  • The Vision of Escaflowne
I also started watching full high school life animes, which at start got me bored and dozed off because of no bloody-heart stopping-rising adrenaline-fight scenes, but later on I've come to love it. I can relate to every female in this types of stories where girls are having fluttering love of high school/jr. high,  when kissing and holding hands could still make us blush and later realize the real aspect of what we called love. Add the freaking fun side of every characters who always make me laugh and in my enthusiasm I downloaded some of its lovely sound track and opening/ending song.

The best thing about the anime are the straight forward fights and easy to follow storyline. The reason I watch anime is it just sends me to a whole different world where possibilities are endless. Also, some shows really do inspire me and motivates me to get back into things that I dropped before. Like inline skating, when I started watching Cardcaptor Sakura it inspires me to try skating again (though skating was only a part of Sakura's routine to school).Learn to skate was my dream when I was a kid well, watching CCS really inspired and motivated me to go above and beyond. Like I'm really starting to challenge myself and skate - wherein I've always thought were too hard for me to learn.

A lot of shows are just awesome because they show people that something that people might think is impossible to accomplish, but the truth is, its possible to do if you just work at it.
